I worked with Clay as my Executive Mentor during a year of leadership development with a fellowship I was fortunate to get. The work done with Clay has been transformational for me. Clay is a wonderfully warm person who immediately connects with the person he is working with. His style was perfect for me, as he didn't give me answers, rather he unlocked my inner potential and pushed me to find those answers from within. The result is very powerful. Suddenly I found myself in a much better position, more self assured in a leadership role. In addition, I brought in Clay to work with my leadership team and the results were phenomenal. Clay facilitated a team retreat in October and the team still lives the skills learned at that time. This has made work much more effective and efficient in so many ways.
I learned a great deal working with Clay. The biggest take away was developing my emotional intelligence skill of self awareness. I learned how my behavior impacts others I work with. I started this program with Clay as part of my work training and leadership within the work environment. I can truly say this has been a life changing experience. My profile revealed that I needed to work on some personal issues and I couldn't see how that would help my work and leadership skills but in a very short year, the change has been evident to myself, my family, my personal friends and co workers. This in turn has had a HUGE ripple effect for work and helped me thru a transition time in my career. I began my work with Clay at time of transition at work and at home.
