The process I went through with Clay has enabled me to become more aware of my core strengths and development opportunities. I was extremely satisfied working with Clay as my leadership coach. I learned a great deal about myself in the 9 months working with him. From the feedback I received from my stakeholders and from my own perspective, I made significant progress. Beyond my achievements to date, the skills I’ve learned from our engagement are front of mind during all professional (and some personal) interactions.
The Coaching process was key to promote self reflection and ongoing consideration of how I am “showing up” during all interactions.
The two most valuable outcomes from my work with Clay include:
• Strengthening my self-awareness. I am aware of my tendencies and am often able to “catch myself” before exhibiting the behaviors associated with “pre coaching” actions. Even if I don’t catch myself, awareness of where I might have shown up as “below the line” or showing counterproductive behaviors allows me to 1) learn from the experience & 2) take action to reconcile or possibly take action to reconcile with the person(s) that I might have negatively engaged.
• My coaching has provided me with tools to understand my natural tendencies and take advantage of them when they are productive but also to curtail them when they aren’t.
This has helped me improve my leadership presence, improved my working relationships with others, improved my work performance, communications and the plethora of emotional intelligence skills. All in all working with Clay has helped me be a more effective leader.

I was skeptical how this training and coaching was really going to play out and I could not be any happier with the 6-months spent with Clay. This has been one of the few times in my career that the entire program was worth while and there were no “filler” type sessions. Every session Clay and I had was meaningful! I always looked forward to the session and felt excited when we would finish, usually I would dread something like this because it has never been worth my time.
I realized through this work, that development is my responsibility and I need to take time to do just that. I grew immensely from the experience particularly my self-awareness and leadership presence. This was huge for me. This awareness helped me lead my team during a very difficult time period.

Working with Clay was one of the highlights of my year. We started working together by first meeting with my boss the CEO where he expressed his desired outcome for the work. This really helped me focus and keep alignment on those goals. Clay helped put structure to the conversation and held me accountable in a way that inspired participation.
This work helped me to recognize the things from my story and past of who I am and how it shaped my identity and what was important to me. We tested those assumptions and realized many were not accurate. This helped me see a better way to lead my team and get better business results.
